Love is not a destination it is a journey of the heart

How do you know you’re in love? Is it a warm feeling? Is it lighting up when that person comes into the room? Is it when you lock eyes and your heart stops? Many people ask this question every day. How do you really know if you are truly and completely in love? I think love is something that can't be described completely. It is finding that someone that makes you complete; it is not something you can put in a box. Love is unique and different for each person, your beliefs and values can affect how you love and how someone loves you. Your personality and believes shape what you believe about love. One person’s ideal picture and image that they have about love in a person may be another person's nightmare; it is all depending on you. I think love has many parts that cannot all be described part of love is being able to think outside yourself and have compassion and sensitivity for another human being. It is being able to put someone before yourself. Love is everlasting and trust worthy. It is being able to find that one person that you can trust and above all others and that can trust in you. I do not believe someone can fully love another person without loving his or her self-first. This is a hard thing to come to terms with many times we are controlled by our emotions of compassion, kindness, lust or even a part of love. However, I do not believe you can reach the fullest potential love without loving yourself first. So just, remember that love is not a destination it is a journey and can not be defined by one person's definition it is your own desires and expectations of another human being.
