It is always darkest before dawn

I keep thinking that life is going to make sense but in the end, life does not make sense. Life is about making hard choices, dealing with the unexpected, and coping with reality. There are many wonderful things in this life to be had. However, it is your job to cherish each day and really recognize that every moment matters. You never know how much time you have in your life and I believe we need to live our lives to the fullest. I am not saying that it is not a good thing to have dreams and goals, it is a great thing. I am just saying that you need to realize that no one really knows how long we have here and it would be a shame to not value every moment we are blessed with. This life can be confusing, hard, and all around horrible, however it is so important to realize that we have to take the good with the bad. We cannot focus on disappointments we might have, dreams not coming true, or goals not being met, and especially we have to realize that our life just might not turn out the way we planned it. I know this can be heartbreaking to accept, yet I believe if you are determined, hopeful, and driven you can achieve the impossible. If you have the courage to believe, your dreams can come true. You have to know who you are and believe in yourself before other people are going to believe in you. You cannot let other people's insecurities or negative attitudes bring you down, you are your own person. In this life, we are given only one life to live and we shape who we are and how we portray ourselves. We need to be careful not to be wrapped up in work, school, and day-to-day chores and realize life is not going to start when we have a great job or finish school. This is life right now and we need to live our life with the understanding that life has started. So, when we think we'll have time to tell are family we love them later or be kind and courteous to other human beings later we need to recognize that you don't know if there's going to be a later and in my opinion that's a big chance you are taking if you are waiting to not be so busy. So remember that even though we live in a society that measures success in our job status or what degrees we might have. Take a moment and think about what really matters in your life? If you were not going to be here tomorrow what would really matter to you? What would you need to say? What would you need to do? What would you change? Life might not be what we expected but it is life. How we deal with the bumps along the way shape that we are today. It's always darkest before the dawn. I hope so.
